Jesus looked at them and said,
“With man this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible.”
-Matthew 19:26
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
What would you do if your child were in a horrible car accident and your insurance were exhausted and she required round the clock care because she was unable to care for herself at all? What if she needed to be fed through a feeding tube, breathed with the help of a tracheotomy tube, and required more basic care than an infant but weighed nearly as much as you did?
What would you do when you knew your child stood the best chance for recovery at home, but even the nurses looked at you as though they couldn't tell you where to begin? When they looked at you as if they didn't think you could possibly do it, and as if they weren't even sure that they would be able to do it themselves? And who would you turn to when you were exhausted, yet you knew you could not give up because you had faith that through prayer, love and care, your child would continue to heal and recover?
December 2011: Joran is Working Hard and Making Progress!
Joran recently spent three weeks doing intensive rehab in HealthSouth in
Sunrise, and she has been working very hard to keep all the
gains she made while she was there. There were times when she worked so
hard that she cried out in pain, but she often had a smile for her
therapists and her family and friends. She is continuing her hard work
doing outpatient therapy as often as she can. Praise God!
January 2012: Joran Walks In Water! All that hard work is beginning to pay off, Joran is all smiles as she gets in the water and is able to walk in water with assistance and encouragement! Be sure to watch the incredible video, to see how faith, hope, perseverance and hard work pay off!!!
May 6, 2012: The Bowling Fundraiser was a success! Special thanks to AMF Boynton Beach Lanes for hosting the event, and to Prime Catch, Hessler Paint, and A Mother's Friend Company for sponsoring. It was wonderful to see Joran smiling and having fun with friends and family. Thank you to all who sponsored, bowled, volunteered, donated, and keep Joran and her family in your prayers!
